Can you help make a child's Easter a little sweeter this year? The St. Vincent DePaul group is asking for your support for our Easter basket program which helps us to provide Easter baskets to children in need in our area. We are asking for donations of individually wrapped candy, Easter Bunnies, bags of jelly beans, Robin eggs, Peeps, Cadbury Cream eggs, and Reese's peanut butter eggs are some suggestions. We also need medium and large size baskets, Easter grass and basket bags! This is a wonderful opportunity to spread Easter joy and is truly appreciated! 15th CYM Pilgrimage Join hundreds of others on Saturday, March 28, 2026, as we walk the streets of Wilmington carrying the Pilgrimage Cross with Bishop Koenig. It will start at St. Elizabeth with prayer and a concert, to St. Francis Hospital for a special blessing of the patients, then Reconciliation at St. Anthony of Padua, followed by the Stations of the Cross at Padua Academy, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Paul, and Blessing of Palms and Mass upon our return to St. Elizabeth. The Hearts of Hope Gala is the biggest fundraising event for Saint Peter Cathedral School – celebrating and preserving the LEGACY of Catholic education in the heart of Wilmington, DE. The Gala will host donors, alumni, community members, and families for a silent auction, hors d' oeuvres, drinks, desserts and school tours that supports SPCS. The funds raised at this event assists in closing the gap between tuition and the cost of education providing families with a faith based choice in education. Koenig and the priests of the Diocese of Wilmington gathered on February 4 for a Holy Hour for Peace and will continue hosting Holy Hours throughout the diocese in the coming weeks. Daily Masses the week of Feb 2-6 have been canceled. Instead, deacons will be holding Morning Prayer on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 8:30am; and, Evening Prayer on Tuesday at 6:30pm. The First Friday Mass will be moved to Saturday morning (2/7) at 9am.

Given the severity of the inclement weather that is expected in the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, Bishop Koenig has announced a dispensation from the Obligation to Attend Sunday Mass this weekend. All Masses on Sunday, 1/25 are canceled. Additionally, Parish Offices will be closed on Monday, 1/26 and there will be no daily Mass.
