The childhood healing of Ann O’Neill, now a diocesan parishioner in Easton, Maryland, was the miracle that led to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s canonization. Her story reminds us that the saints are not distant figures, but true friends in heaven whose intercession continues to touch lives—including right here within our Diocese. Click to read.
We have a special opportunity to bring Triumph of the Heart to Middletown, Delaware — a powerful film that will inspire hearts and strengthen faith. But it will only happen if enough tickets are reserved in advance. This beautiful crowdfunded film tells the true story of St. Maximilian Kolbe and his companions in Auschwitz. It begins with Kolbe’s extraordinary act of love, offering his life for another, and follows the hope and courage that blossomed even in the darkness of the starvation bunker. Because this is a crowdfunded release, your early ticket purchase is more than a reservation. It is a gift that makes this screening possible. Without enough early support, the film will not come to our theater. Let us come together as a community to fill the seats and share this story of sacrificial love with our neighbors. Buy your tickets today and be part of bringing this witness of faith to our community.
Every August we are asked to contribute to the annual special collection to benefit the Cathedral of Saint Peter, the seat of the Diocese of Wilmington. This year, the collection is held the weekend of August 16-17. Bishop Malooly started this special collection ten years ago, with the strong support of our diocesan pastors, to help the Cathedral community maintain their beautiful and historic buildings and sustain their ministry to the neighborhood.
